Will you make a year-end gift to DCBF?

The last year and a half have challenged us all. For some, life feels less threatened than it did in March of 2020. But for many of our financially disenfranchised District neighbors, the lasting effects of the pandemic are far from over, especially as emerging variants create new variables of uncertainty. Their need for civil legal aid has only grown.

Fortunately, the DC Bar Foundation has continued to innovate and strengthen DC’s civil legal aid network, which has been tested time and again by the pandemic. In 2021 alone, we have advanced several significant initiatives to create a more equitable civil legal aid network: beginning to develop a coordinated intake and referral system, piloting a participatory grantmaking program, and convening the DC Legal Aid Transformations Network, which you read about above.

We need your support as these projects, and new ones, continue into 2022. Will you please join us in our commitment to transform DC’s civil legal aid network by making a gift of $100, $250, $500, or $1,000 to the DC Bar Foundation before December 31? Donations of $1,000 or more will qualify you as a member of our 77 Society. You can give online or send a check to DC Bar Foundation, 655 New York Ave., NW, 6th Floor, Washington, DC 20001. Thank you for helping us transform DC’s civil legal aid network so that all District residents can have a fair and equal legal experience.
