The DC Bar Foundation is grateful for the dollars raised through our premier fundraising campaigns and events, which help make our grants and programs possible. We are pleased to provide you with an update on three of these initiatives–Call to Action, Avenues to Justice, and the DC Walk for Justice 5K–to learn how you can get involved and make an impact on DC’s civil legal services community.
Call to Action. So far, 72 generous firms and corporations have contributed $545,818 to our 2025 Call to Action campaign; 89% of our $612,000 goal. Will your organization help us close the gap to our goal? For more information, please contact Daryl Byler, Director of Development, at byler@dcbarfoundation.org or 202-853-9025. Donations can easily be made online or by mail using our printable donation form.
Avenues to Justice, June 25. Avenues to Justice is less than one month away! So far, the DC Bar Foundation's Young Lawyers Network Leadership Council has raised $38,369 of its $73,500 goal. Will you help us get there? Corporate and individual sponsorships are available at varying levels. Click here to learn more.
This year’s event will explore the transformative power of technology to enhance the efficiency, reach, and impact of civil legal aid organizations, while also highlighting the importance of thoughtful and responsible implementation to ensure the best outcomes for clients.
Join us for remarks from keynote speaker Rachel Rossi, former director of the DOJ’s Office of Access to Justice and a dedicated advocate for equal justice. The program will also feature an expert panel discussion about emerging technologies and their impact on civil legal services in the District and beyond, with representatives from Ayuda, Neighborhood Legal Services Program, and the Family Legal Assistance Network.
DC Walk for Justice 5K, October 23. The DC Bar Foundation’s second DC Walk for Justice 5K will take place on Thursday, October 23 at Nationals Park. This year, we aim to raise $325,000 for the District’s pressing civil legal needs. Thank you to our early sponsors for contributing $70,000 toward our goal. Will your organization join them? There are several corporate sponsor tiers with varying benefits sure to fit your company or firm's needs. Visit our event page to learn more.
By sponsoring the DC Walk for Justice 5K, you will foster closer ties with the community, create a tangible and lasting social impact, and position your organization as a leader in promoting public safety and wellbeing for District residents.
