Will you make a year-end gift to DCBF?

After a transformative year together, we would like to ask one question: will you consider making a gift to the DC Bar Foundation before the end of 2022?

As our CEO Kirra Jarratt highlighted in her letter, the Foundation’s impact is wide-reaching and transformative. As staff and members of the civil legal aid network, we are fortunate to work to expand access to legal services in the District, but that work is not possible without support from generous donors like you.

There are many ways to give to the DC Bar Foundation this holiday season. Gifts of any amount are welcomed and appreciated. You can make your gift online or send a check to the DC Bar Foundation at 200 Massachusetts Avenue, NW, Suite 700, Washington, DC 20001.

Those looking to invest more deeply in the Foundation’s work may consider joining our 77 Society by making a gift of $1,000 or more. The Foundation also offers a monthly giving option online for those who wish to have a sustained impact throughout 2023. A monthly contribution of $83.34 will qualify the donor for membership in the 77 Society in twelve months, but any amount will make a difference.

Finally, as you plan your end-of-year giving, consider our three new lifetime giving tiers, named for African-American civil rights champions in the District: Charles T. Duncan, Charlotte E. Ray, and Charles Hamilton Houston. Can you see yourself joining any of the three tiers in the future?

The need for legal aid in our city is great, and your contributions have a real-life impact on our neighbors in need. Thank you for your generosity.
