Make Your Giving Tuesday Plan Today

Mark your calendar; Giving Tuesday is fast approaching! On Tuesday, December 2nd, people worldwide will come together to make a positive impact in their local communities by donating to their favorite nonprofit organizations. We hope you will help us reach our $7,500 fundraising goal by adding the DC Bar Foundation to the list of organizations you plan to support this Giving Tuesday.

The donations we receive through Giving Tuesday provide critical, unrestricted grants to legal services organizations in DC. Our General Support Grants can be used to cover expenses that often cannot be covered by other funding sources, keeping the lights on and doors open to clients who need legal support.

When the burden of covering operating expenses is eased, these organizations can maintain focus on achieving the best possible outcomes for their clients. Your gift will make access to legal services possible for so many in our city: residents at risk of eviction, mothers and children in abusive households, veterans in need of benefits, and countless others. 

The Foundation's exciting and transformative work, including grantmaking, loan repayment assistance, network coordination, and more, is poised to thrive in 2026 and beyond. Throughout the week leading up to Giving Tuesday, we will provide insight into several of the Foundation’s key initiatives that help advance our mission.
