Help us Knock the DC Walk for Justice 5K out of the Park!
The DC Walk for Justice 5K is successful because of the enthusiastic support of many sponsors, volunteers, and participants.
Each year, hundreds of justice-minded individuals like you join together at Nationals Park to walk in pursuit of a civil legal system that is fair and equal for all DC residents, regardless of their knowledge, income, or power.
The Walk is a powerful event. But how can we turn the Walk into a movement?
The answer lies with you.
Because participating in the DC Walk for Justice 5K is free, we invite you to register and take part in team fundraising with your colleagues, friends, and family! We aim to raise $500,000 through the DC Walk for Justice 5K, and we need your help to reach that goal.
Our corporate sponsors are generously committing hundreds of thousands of dollars to support access to justice in DC, but we do not underestimate the power of the individual.
Imagine the impact if every DC Walk for Justice 5K participant made a gift to the DC Bar Foundation?
After registering for the Walk, participants can join or start an online fundraising team, set a team goal, invite others to join, and start raising funds in support of legal services in DC. We are offering prizes to the fundraising team with the most walkers and the team that raises the most money.
We are also offering the following prizes (exact designs subject to change) to those individuals who donate at or above specific thresholds by Oct. 5 as a thank you for their generosity:
$250 or more: DC Walk for Justice 5K baseball hat
$1,000 or more: DC Walk for Justice 5K windbreaker
We hope that generous fundraising teams and individuals will contribute $100,000 of the $500,000 event goal, with the remainder coming from sponsorships. Funds raised through the DC Walk for Justice 5K directly support District residents needing legal services.
