Get Ready to Walk for Justice

Are you ready to go the distance for access to justice? Registration for the Oct. 22 DC Walk for Justice 5K is now open!

Join the DC Bar Foundation for a family-friendly afternoon of fresh air, education, networking, and fun in support of civil legal services in DC.

Walkers will enjoy our new, scenic 5K route taking them from Nationals Park over the Frederick Douglass Bridge into Anacostia and ending at a finish-line party in Centerfield Plaza, complete with food, music, face painting, and an appearance by Nationals Racing President Teddy Roosevelt.

Though the DC Walk for Justice 5K is a free event, we require participants to register so we can collect emergency contact information and track the number of participants.

Increase your Impact: Become a Team Fundraiser

Because registration for the DC Walk for Justice 5K is free, we invite participants to make a gift to the DC Bar Foundation after registering and sign up for team fundraising with their colleagues, friends, and family. We aim to raise $500,000 through the DC Walk for Justice 5K, and we can’t get there without your support.

After registering for the Walk, participants will have the option to join or start an online fundraising team where they can set a team goal, invite others to join, and start raising funds in support of legal services in DC. We are offering prizes to the fundraising team with the most walkers and the team that raises the most money.

We hope that generous fundraising teams will provide $100,000 of the $500,000 event goal, the remainder coming from sponsorships. All funds raised through the DC Walk for Justice 5K directly support District residents needing legal services.
