Thank you to everyone who supported our 2021 Champions for Justice campaign! Over several months, 128 generous individuals from thirteen organizations raised nearly $29,000 for the District's civil legal aid network. And from that group of 128, six either joined the 77 Society for the first time or renewed their annual membership by making gifts of $1,000 or more.
The funds we raised together will provide critical resources to DC's civil legal aid network through much-needed General Support Grants, which cover vital overhead costs typically overlooked by other funding sources. Dollars raised will also provide training and technical assistance for DC Bar Foundation grantees, and support the Foundation's Loan Repayment Assistance Program, which helps legal aid attorneys pay off their educational debt.
