Alison Putnam, Senior Finance and Operations Officer

Alison joined the DC Bar Foundation in August 2022 with years of experience in the finance and non-profit fields. She works with the Chief of Staff to support the team in fulfilling the Foundation's mission and goals. Her responsibilities will include fiscal duties, internal and external organizational processes, and office functions for the DC Bar Foundation. She works closely with the Foundation staff and external providers to develop, maintain, and improve work quality, productivity, and efficiency to maximize the impact of the Foundation. Alison's career and volunteer work demonstrate her commitment to helping vulnerable people throughout our region. Working for the DC Bar Foundation culminates a lifetime of helping people find hope, dignity, and justice.


Alison spends most of her free time raising and training service dogs for a local non-profit that places these highly skilled dogs with veterans of the US military and first-responders with disabilities, free of charge with lifetime support of the partnerships. The organization also places dogs with qualified clinicians or staff members in residential or health care settings to facilitate animal-assisted therapy.
