Alanna Lejarde is a Program Specialist at the DC Bar Foundation, where she supports program and grants management activities in collaboration with staff, grantees, and consultants. Before joining the DC Bar Foundation, she served as the Business Development Coordinator at ME&A, Inc., where she coordinated the procurement of USAID proposals and supported various business development initiatives. In addition to coordinating proposals, Alanna has supported USAID project implementation, working under tight deadlines and across global time zones to ensure deliverables are met throughout the whole project lifecycle. She also brings experience in administrative and human resources roles.
Her commitment to advancing equity is deeply personal. Growing up in a first-generation immigrant household, she witnessed firsthand how limited access to civil legal aid can impact families. With a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Alanna is particularly interested in the relationship between public health and access to legal services, especially for individuals with low incomes and those with disabilities. She advocates for a better understanding of neurodivergent individuals and emphasizes the importance of creating inclusive spaces and access for people of all abilities.
Outside of work, Alanna enjoys spending quality time with family and friends. She enjoys staying active through team sports, baking, traveling, and exploring various cuisines from around the world.
