THANK YOU to each and every person who helped make our Champions for Justice campaign a success! With your generosity, we exceeded our campaign goal of $30,000 - raising over $42,000 for DC's civil legal aid network. Working from home became an indefinite reality for many last year. This challenged us to re-imagine our annual Go Casual for Justice campaign, which relied so heavily on dressing down and in-office events. Thank you for supporting our pivot to a virtual Champions for Justice campaign, and for making the first year of this re-envisioned campaign a success.
The funds we raised together will provide critical resources to DC’s civil legal aid network through grants, training and technical assistance, and the Foundation’s Loan Repayment Assistance Program, which helps legal aid attorneys pay off their educational debt. Your contributions to this year's campaign were more important than ever as the COVID-19 pandemic continues its devastating effects on so many of our neighbors' civil legal issues.
Congratulations to this year’s October, November, and December challenge winners: Diane Pennington, Susannah Scott, Stephen Anstey, Matthew Howell, Laura Jones Eller, and Brian Browne.
