Heather Jones, Grants Database Manager

Heather Jones joined the DC Bar Foundation in February 2022 as the Grants Database Manager. Heather has more than 15 years of experience working in the nonprofit sector in Washington, DC and has always been passionate about amplifying the voices of those in need.


Previously, Heather was a Program Officer for nearly a decade at a local family foundation focused on helping the homeless, hungry, abused and disabled in DC and has the pleasure to be working with many of same grantees and the same grants management database at DCBF. Prior to that, Heather was a Program Officer at the United States Committee for Refugees and Immigrants monitoring the Refugee Reception and Placement Program for compliance and managing the Refugee Family Reunification Program.


Heather received her B.S. in International Affairs from the University of Colorado, at Boulder, with a minor in Eurasian Studies and also, received a Certificate in Peace & Conflict Studies from the University of Colorado, at Boulder.


Raised in Roselle, N.J., she lives in northern Virginia with her husband and enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.
