CIR Chat
Save the date for the next CIR Chat. Join us on Wednesday, April 19, from 2:30–3:00 PM to discuss Coordinated Intake and Referral. The topic will focus on navigator training. In February, we talked about client outreach. This month we discussed intake workers and the most important information that should be collected during the intake process. We created Jamboards where you can continue to contribute to these conversations. You can add to the February Jamboard here and the March Jamboard here.
Every third Wednesday, we will deep dive into a different aspect of CIR. Feel free to suggest topics for future chats in Slack or by emailing innovation@dcbarfoundation.org.
Evaluation – Focus Groups
We continue to prioritize evaluation and community input as we build the Coordinated Intake and Referral (CIR) system. Thus, NPC Research will begin its next round of focus groups in April.
This evaluation round will include focus groups with the following stakeholders: 1) Existing intake and referral networks among legal services providers, 2) Legal services intake specialists, and 3) Clients and DC residents.
User Testing
User testing for the CIR System took place the week of March 13. We worked with several DC residents in individualized settings to walk them through navigating the system as a client. They were asked to select their mode of contact—either by phone or through the website—and then provided feedback on the initial CIR platform prototype based on their experience. This information will help inform changes that need to be made to make the CIR System more efficient and user-centered.
