Champions for Justice (formerly Go Casual for Justice) kicks off
during DC's Pro Bono Week on October 26 and continues through December 23!
Champions for Justice brings together justice-loving workplaces and individuals from across the District in support of DC’s civil legal aid network. Formerly a denim-day, dress-down fundraiser in the form of "Go Casual for Justice," Champions for Justice creates a new way for us to come together and support DC's legal aid network as we work from home in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
When a workplace registers to participate in Champions for Justice, their employees can participate in the campaign's monthly challenges, or make a gift to the DC Bar Foundation (or both!), for a chance to win a $50 Uber Eats gift card at the end of each month. Two winners will be announced each month. Check out our monthly challenges below, and get excited!
October: Send a picture of you working in your favorite Halloween-inspired costume or outfit to email@example.com to be entered into our end-of-the-month giveaway. Donations to DCBF are encouraged!
November: Tell us what you're thankful for! All respondents to our "I'm thankful for..." prompt will be entered into our end-of-the-month giveaway. Donations to DCBF are encouraged!
December: All Champions for Justice donors and challenge participants from throughout the campaign are entered into our campaign closeout giveaway.
This year, we aim to raise $30,000 to provide critical resources to DC’s civil legal aid network through grants, training and technical assistance, and the Foundation’s Loan Repayment Assistance Program, which helps legal aid attorneys pay off their educational debt. Will you help us get there?
Participating is easy! Once your workplace is registered, encourage your colleagues to participate in the monthly challenges, or make a gift to the DC Bar Foundation (or both!) for a chance to win one of two $50 Uber Eats gift cards awarded each month. Participating workplaces will be given customized fundraising pages to circulate to their employees to make supporting DCBF easy and fun!
