SPECIAL EVENTS

A Celebration of 25 Years of Grantmaking –
An Appreciation of the Support of Donors and the
Essential Work of Legal Services Providers

The District of Columbia Bar Foundation celebrated its 25th anniversary with a reception hosted by the law firm of Crowell & Moring LLP on September 23, 2003.

Over the past 25 years, the Bar Foundation has awarded $11.6 million to 44 programs to support the delivery of civil legal services in the District of Columbia. In 2003, largely through the generous support of its law firm donors, the Bar Foundation awarded a record $1 million.

To mark its 25th anniversary, the Bar Foundation's board of directors commissioned a report on the state of the legal services delivery system in the District of Columbia. The report was presented at the reception. Click here to go to the report.
